Here are some descriptions of the main characters in Lost Beneath the Tide, book 2 in the Tide Harbor series
Catarina (Cat) Silva – Feisty marine biologist Cat Silva arrives in Tide Harbor to study the pollution levels caused by fish farming. She is an instructor in the biology department at New York University, and lives with her mother in Far Rockaway, Brooklyn. Cat was born with a cleft palate and has had many surgeries.
Alex Harris – Alex Harris has lived his entire life in Tide Harbor. His wife drowned in a boating accident, and he is raising his daughter, Ellie, on his own. He is the security chief at Cowling Fish Farm. He plans to move to Halifax and eventually start his own fish farm.
Thomas Cowling – Alex’s boyhood friend and current boss. He owns Cowling Fisheries and is a competitive kayaker.
Helen (Ellie) Harris – Six-year-old Ellie is going into first grade. She has an imaginary dog named Dorchester.
Rosie Marden An Ontario native, Rosie has retired and bought a bed and breakfast on Fletcher’s Cove on the opposite shoreline from the town.
Olivia Rostard – Alex’s older sister watches Ellie when he is at work. She has three boys ages seven, nine, and ten, and is in the midst of a messy divorce.
Matt Harris – Alex’s oldest brother is a fisherman. His longliner catches lobsters, haddock, cod, and swordfish
Nick Harris – The middle brother, Nick, is currently working as a medic in Alberta at an oil field.
Logan Harris – The youngest brother is a student in marine biology at Dalhousie University in Halifax.
Momma Silva – Cat’s mother wants her daughter to be normal. She also wants Cat to take care of her. Her husband died a year ago.
